You are a Roman general who has recently conquered a new province. Prepare a decree (official proclamation) outlining the new way of life in store for the people under your rule. You can do this as a written document or make a sound file. (10 marks)


Marking Guide

  • Your decree outlines the new way of life in store for the people under your rule, including references to the following:
    • What things will change
    • What things will stay the same
    • What rights and responsibilities the people will have
  • The content of the decree is historically accurate.
  • The decree has an historical feel (i.e., as if you were actually there when it happened).
