Finding a voice to communicate

A Unit for
English Language Arts 10

Speaking Up, Speaking Out is a unit that provides BC teachers with suggestions for working with students to explore the concept of voice. Students find and share their unique voices to communicate issues, from personal experiences or the experiences of others.

The unit consists of a number of lessons, activities, and assessment suggestions to help students find their voice. Student handouts, assessment tools, collaborative planning tools, and cross-curricular considerations are also included in the unit.
