Planning 10 guides students through a variety of topics and issues that arise, as they become young adults. This course meets graduation program requirements and allows students to explore personal attributes and interests, discovering how these two areas relate to education and career planning. Employment and workplace issues are investigated further, with the use of a series of hands-on, personally relevant activities. Students also learn about tools and decision-making processes that are available for managing their finances. The course finishes with an examination of issues and decisions related to achieving a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Planning 10 is designed for self-paced learners but is also an exceptional classroom teacher reference. All course components use modular instruction, with formal and informal projects, and assessments developed to inspire the student. Planning 10 is available in print or online delivery formats and a corresponding teacher’s guide is available.

The Planning 10 Media CD includes 2 Core Resource interactive multimedia pieces linking to all 5 modules:

  • Making Decisions: provides systematic decision-making strategies
  • Finding Information: covers processes for finding and using information including Internet searches, note-taking, citing sources and plagiarism
