English Language Arts 7 invites students on a literary journey. Students apply logic and imagination by practicing practical and persuasive communication and fictional story telling. The course also covers poetry and a novel study of The Breadwinner, which portrays day-to-day life in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.

This course is designed to help students learn about personal narratives, reading comprehension, technical writing, persuasive style, language of poetry, types of stories, and story elements. The lessons emphasize English language skills applied to practical and relevant activities. The activities are varied and offer choice and flexibility to teachers and students. This course addresses the prescribed learning outcomes set by BC Ministry of Education's Language Arts 2006 IRP.

English Language Arts 7 is available in both print and online. Online students can explore concepts through fun, interactive multimedia. These multimedia components are also available for print students on CD.
