Math 08

Open School BC is pleased to announce Mathematics 8, available in print and, for the first time, online. Using interactive multimedia and video, this course gives students an engaging mathematical experience.

Open School BC is very happy to introduce the all-new English 12 reflecting the Ministry of Education’s updated learning outcomes as outlined in the current IRP.

Science and Technology 11

In this course students will develop an understanding of the connection between science and technology and how they impact society and the environment. The thought-provoking topics and engaging multimedia will capture students’ imaginations, hold their attention, and arouse an interest in the study of science and technology.

Physics 11

Physics 11 has been updated and revised to meet the Ministry of Education’s learning outcomes as outlined in the Physics 11 IRP (2006). This new print resource has been produced using our new contemporary, visual design.

Family Studies 10-12

Open School BC’s new Family Studies 10 – 12 reflects the Ministry of Education’s new approach to this senior level optional curriculum. Each module is a two-credit, stand-alone course that covers the Ministry of Education IRP. We are delighted to offer the first two courses, Families in Society and Interpersonal and Family Relationships, available in both print and online.

Developed by Open School BC, with input from BC teachers, our multimedia resources offer appealing, interactive activities and tutorials addressing BC IRP learning outcomes.

The Shopping Cart – Updated!

Open School BC’s Online Shopping Cart is new and improved, bringing over 3,500 Kindergarten to Grade 12 educational resources to your fingertips. Open School BC’s Shopping Cart is one-stop shopping for all OSBC resources and companion resources. These resources are written by BC educators and designed to meet the BC Ministry of Education IRP outcomes.

The Online Consortium’s Hosted Service – Upgraded, Updated!

The Online Consortium (OC) has improved.
In upgrading our Learning Management System (LMS) to WebCT® 6, Campus Edition, and updating the hardware to a new, state of-the-art SUN® server we believe that we are providing the best distributed learning service in the province

The Educators’ Resource Centre (ERC)

Open School BC’s Educators’ Resource Centre (ERC) is a popular online service focused on building a community of collaboration among BC teachers. Members of the service have online access to search, download from and contribute to a collection of learning and Pro-D resources. The ERC has experienced substantial growth in the last two years, and holds thousands of resources contributed by many users and organizations. It has recently been upgraded to improve the layout, efficiency and functionality of the system.
